Thanksgiving Weekend - Balancing ValBalancing Val

Thanksgiving Weekend

Well . . . There was more lows than highs this weekend for me. This is unfortunate seeing as I had a total weekend off from work and school but . . . you can’t win ’em all

Let’s focus on the positive . . .

After a long and slow day at work, the sibs and I ventured out to the mall late on black friday.

My shopping strategy is just to get a little something each time I go out and always have a list handy.

The mall was busy but really not bad at 10pm.

I was able to get 2 things crossed off my list 😉

The next day things got complicated. After plans changed 400 times, the final result had Nicole and I out shopping at the outlets.

I did get a few good deals there which was nice. We went to dinner at Chili’s afterwards which was fun. We had stopped in P.F Changs and Cheesecake factory where the wait was 2:10 min!

Are You Kidding Me?!

After some drama, I had an awesome sleep and I was determined to workout. Did you know the last time I worked out was November 6th? I cant say I feel guilty at all. Life has been packed for me.

At the reservoir, Marie and I took it easy alternating running 2min and walking 4min the whole time. I really felt out of shape, but it felt good to move. Exercise is awesome when you are not focusing on weight loss.

Afterwards I felt kinda junky, but I had 2 weeks worth of laundry to do. Pictured is only 1/2 of it.

Thank goodness that is done. I can’t say it will be put away in the near future though

Well . . . Back to the grind!

How did you spend YOUR weekend?

  • I see some smooshed faced doggies! 😀

For being out of town for only four nights and only having a 30 minute flight to and from where I was going, I was crazy exhausted. When I came back yesterday the Husband and I just read our books and played with Norman. (Norman will now not let out out of his sight.) Then today I went to a local (but huge) craft fair and out to lunch with my friend.

I also have not been working out regularly and I’m not feeling guilty, but I am feeling like I need to move so I can sleep better and feel better over all.
