Changeable Chewy Granola Bars

Lately, Caroline has been obsessed with raving about sweetened condensed milk.

I honestly have never used it for anything which is strange considering I just decided to buy a can a few weeks ago. I opened it last night out of curiosity and tasted a bit. It was way too sweet!

But,I didn’t want to waste it so I perused around the internets finding a way I can incorporate it into a snack that I could tote around the city. I found a bunch of recipes that I adapted into these . . .

CHANGEABLE CHEWY GRANOLA BARS

This is a very easy recipe! I call it changeable because you can literally add whatever you want to the mix to suit your needs. In my case I had walnuts, and shredded coconut. You also need one 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk, 2tbsp melted butter and about 3 cups of quick cooking oats.

Simply mix all ingredients into a bowl until well incorporated.

Press down the mixture into a greased 9×13 pan.

Cook in a 350 degree preheated oven for 20min or until the edges are light golden brown.
Let cool before cutting into squares.

Wrap them up in plastic wrap or foil for grab and go snacks.

They are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Sounds perfect to me!

There are so many things you can add to the mix for all different occassions. Try them out and let me know whatcha came up with ;)
