insta-glance (retreat food edition)
this week was my first full week working at the retreat house and i have to say, i love my job! ive been extra busy trying to nail down my routine and what works to get everything done which left me little time for blogging. so this installment of insta-glance is a collection of photos from work i took througout the week.

saturday field trip to the KCC farmers market. luv dem greeens!
breakfast blender: spinach, berries, home made almond milk, flax + hemp + chia seeds
dinner: steamed bok choy, onions and green beans with roasted okinawa potato slices. hit with some turmeric
dinner: roasted baby root veggies (from farmers market trip) and some chunks of roasted kabocha squash w/ a thai basil garnish
since this happens every day, im wondering if i should start up my other business blog again for food and other recipes. oh, i should also start writing down recipes too. anyway, im off to attend my day off with a million things to do. aloha!
The News
I figured I’d do a little post about what’s been new in my world.
Ashley visited me in school the other day! She was there to audition for a Kim Kardashian makeover on the Wendy Williams show. After, she stopped by and checked out my school and even met some of my class mates. We joked how we live right around the corner from each other and end end up hanging out in NYC.
We posed with our Starbucks cups just to prove we were in chicks in the city. And guess what? SHE WON! The show will air on Monday May 2nd. Cant wait to watch!
I ventured back out into the workout arena with a 2 mile fast walk on the beach/boardwalk with my mom. Sadly, this place is going to be flooded with skanks soon.
I recently adopted a sweet wide angle lens for my camera from Dad! Its taking a while to get used to but I’m getting the hang of it and I’m starting to get some hey man, nice shots.
The ducks are back the pool back at the rents house. The same ones come every year to hang out. This one struck a pose!
I’m also doing fairly well with cooking homemade healthy meals from scratch for the two of us . . . . at least this week anyway.
AND my afternoon naps have taken a dramatic decrease . . .
