Saturday Slump
Well, I am feeling a little bit better than I did yesterday.
After work I had some peppermint tea, sat on the couch and just cried. Not as much as last time, but enough to let out the stress in some way.
(do you see the steam, Dad ?)
We’re having a noise issue coming from upstairs which is also causing us to have no sleep. I’m starting to really feel the effects. Im stressed, fatigued and my immune system is taking a hit as I havent fully recovered from when I was sick on New Years!!
Complaining wont do much for me so lets get into what’s happenin’
My burn is getting better though it looks a lot worse. This one is definitely going to leave a scar!
I worked this morning. Usually I don’t bring breakfast because I’m ok with having a later breakfast or early lunch but I didn’t eat dinner last night so I brought a banana on its last legs with almond butter and a hazelnut coffee with some nice froth to it.
Now, its time to tackle my To Do list for the day.
Mostly shopping, cleaning, studying and packing up for tomorrow. Can you see why I’m beginning to not like Saturdays?
I have most of the day off, but its usually filled with prepping for the week ahead. It feels like all my days where I have some time off are like that though!
I’ll try and make the best of it!
Off to tackle this list and get some lunch!
What is your typical Saturday like?
Balancing Money–Entertainment Book
One of the easiest ways to save money throughout the year on restaurants, travel, shopping and more is to make sure you obtain one of these entertainment books. These books are PACKED full of coupons to use that are close to where you live.
You can check and see if they have one for your area HERE.
For a few years now, we have been making good use of this book. Not only does it save you money, but it also can get you to go to new places and try new things.
Here are my tips for getting the most out of your Entertainment Savings Book
Step # 1 : GET YOUR MATERIALS TOGETHER
Grab yourself a notebook, pen, some envelopes and scissors and get comfortable.
Step #2 : GO THROUGH THE WHOLE BOOK
You need to carve out some time and really flip through the coupons and think about what you want to use. Cut out the coupons that you know you will be using and put them in category piles (dining, shopping, entertainment). Leave the maybe’s in the book but write them down as a reminder that they are still there. Its easy to forget about things or places that you havent been to.
Step # 3: PUT YOUR COUPONS IN ENVELOPES
On each envelope, write down what coupons you have in so you can reference the envelope quickly instead of rummaging through the actual coupons.
Step # 4: KEEP YOUR COUPONS HANDY
Now that you have everything organized, keep everything handy so that you can use them while you are out. I like to keep the cut out coupons in my purse and the book usually stays in my car. This way if we are out and maybe looking for a place to eat, we can look through and see what sounds good.
Step # 5: SHARE THE WEALTH
There are a LOT of coupons to go through. Maybe you wont use a lot of them, but chances are there is someone out there that can. I like to cut coupons out that I know friends or family members will use and give them out. Another great thing to to is let someone look through the book after you have taken out what you want and let them take what they could use.
